Today, Warehouse on Water is a blank backdrop to bring your moments to life!

The Jacobi Warehouse Building was established in 1856. This rugged structure was used to store building materials, hardware, cutlery, artillery, and agricultural equipment.

Warehouse 1856 is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.  Cobblestone streets and breathtaking river views are only the beginnings of the charm we offer.

Classic design meets soothing natural colors, paired with an open floor plan -the only thing needed to bring this place to life is you!

Our 6,000 square foot venue is split into two halves one elevated from the other.  This provides our guests with the flexibility to welcome a myriad of different events and layouts.  Couple this space with our expansive wharf styled deck and this venue is only limited by your own imagination.  We also put no restrictions on who you choose to cater your special day.

This place is amazing! We were married here in November of 2019 and it exceeded my expectations. We were able to create a fine dining experience for our guests as well as a club atmosphere for the reception.
